Overview

Robert MacPherson’s work combines a rigorous conceptual base with observations on ordinary life and people. The surface simplicity and austerity of his works belies a complex investigation into visual and linguistic structures. Focusing on the structures of the everyday world around him and drawing from the folkloric traditions of rural Australia, Macpherson
creates works that are playful, honest and poetic.
