Overview
Snapshot is a collective reconstruction of news stories in the United Arab Emirates over the last four decades. Eğrikavuk has conducted research in UAE news archives and chosen more than a hundred headlines from major newspapers and magazines. Each headline is printed on a piece of paper and distributed to viewers, who are asked to reconstruct the story in writing. Their fictional reports are then read out by a professional news anchor.
Earlier versions of Snapshot were performed in Istanbul and Chicago in 2007, with Turkish and American news stories respectively.
