Overview
Seigen Ono is a composer, architectural acoustics designer and recording engineer. During his 30 year career, he has worked with renowned artists such as Syuichi Sakamoto, Sadao Watanabe, John Zorn, Miles Davis and many more. A strong advocate for high resolution audio such as DSD technologies, Seigen has been involved in Research & Development for the most advanced high end PRO technology for digital audio equipments developed by companies such as Sony, KORG and Yamaha.
We are pleased to have Seigen Ono lecture at the American University of Sharjah. Join Seigen as he talks about his Sharjah Biennial project Silence Spins, an infinite aural tearoom that seemingly does not reflect sound enabling one to relax and experience a Zen-like sensation similar to meditation.
Silence Spins is produced in partnership with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Shiro Takatani and is commissioned by the Sharjah Art Foundation.
