Overview

#SAFneighbourhood is peppered with supermarkets and specialty stores selling sweets that trigger nostalgic memories for those who grew up in the UAE. Store displays in the neighbourhood are often enhanced by the strong aroma emanating from the Tiffany Biscuit factory across the creek in Port Khalid. In this session, participants will first explore a specialty candy store in the Souq Saqr, Arts Area. The owner of the shop will take participants on a flavourful tour of the sweets, speaking about trends, ingredients and origins. Participants will then take a water taxi from the Corniche to follow the biscuit aroma to the Tiffany Biscuit factory itself.
