Sharjah Art Foundation launches music courses as part of its Learning Programmes

Strapline: Adults and children, aged 8 and older, can now learn how to play musical instruments or join an oriental singing class

Sharjah, UAE: For budding musicians who wish to learn how to play the bass guitar, violin, piano, oud and oriental percussion instruments, Sharjah Art Foundation’s Learning Programme is introducing music courses in partnership with Yamaha and Thomsun. The programme, set to begin on 14 February, also includes lessons in techniques of oriental singing.

Designed for Arabic as well as English speakers, and adults and children aged 8 and older, courses at different levels will be conducted by graduates of music conservatories. The programme will include both group sessions and individual lessons, lasting 45 minutes to an hour. To be held at Bait Obaid Al Shamsi and Sharjah Art Institute in the Arts Area, Al Shuweiheen, sessions will take place once, twice or thrice weekly, depending on the instrument studied.
