Overview
Make the most of your visit to SB13: Tamawuj by pairing it with one of our workshops, excursions, guided tours or film screenings taking place this Saturday, 25 March 2017.
Children can learn to make birdhouses and bird feeding sculptures during the Children’s Open Day 3, from 10:00 am at the Collections Building. The workshop venue is located in Arts Square next to Bait Al Serkal, where works by ten SB13 artists are on view.
Adults interested in an excursion to the Eastern region of Sharjah and an opportunity to practice their architectural sketching skills are invited to join a trip called Excursions to Remote SAF Locations: Khorfakkan Cinema from 10:00am.
Those who would like to meet gardening enthusiasts, swap plants and seeds, participate in a potluck lunch and learn about regenerating desert sand for planting with Slow Food Dubai should meet at The Urban Garden at 12:00 pm for Open Day: Seed Swap and Potluck Lunch.
We recommend you end the day with the screening of Sounds of the Sea at 8:30pm and learn about traditional UAE sea chants at the open air Mirage City Cinema.
SB13 exhibition spaces are staffed with knowledgeable guides who would be happy to take you on tours of the Biennial, and refreshments are available from the Fen Cafes and Restaurants located in the SAF spaces. A selection of unique gifts items, SB13 guidebooks, tote bags and other limited edition merchandise are offered at the SAF Shops located in Al Mureijah Square and the Arts Square.
